ประเภทหนังสือเดินทาง

หนังสือเดินทางมี 5 ชนิด คือ
1. หนังสือเดินทางทูต (Diplomatic Passport)
2. หนังสือเดินทางราชการ (Office Passport, Service Passport, Passport De Service หรือ Passport De Charge De Mission)
3. หนังสือเดินทางธรรมดา (Ordinary Passport)
4. หนังสือเดินทางขององค์การสหประชาชาติ (United nations Passport)
5. หนังสือเดินทางหมู่(Collective Passport)
เอกสารใช้แทนหนังสือเดินทาง ต้องมีข้อความทำนองเดียวกันกับหนังสือเดินทาง ซึ่งออกให้โดย รัฐบาลของประเทศ ผู้ถือสังกัดอยู่ มีหลายชนิด เช่น
1. Certificate of Identity
2. Form of Afnidavit to Be used in Lieu of A passport
3. Emergency Certificate
4. Form of Affirmation
5. Laissez – Passez
6. certificate De Depart
7. Seaman’s Discharge Book (ใช้เฉพาะผู้มีหน้าที่ประจำเรือ)
